Manuel Adams, 77, of Crewe, VA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, May 26, 2023. He is of the Upper Mattaponi Tribe of King William, VA. and attended Sharon Indian School. Manuel retired from Philip Morris Tobacco Co. after 31 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing, cutting grass, and spending time with family and friends.
Manuel is survived by his wife of 32 years, Barbara Whaley Adams; his son, Johnny Adams; stepson, Ricky Wallace (Jackie); granddaughter, Tori Duke (Will); and grandson, Mitch Wallace (Cate); great granddaughter, Henleigh Grace Duke; and a special niece, Deborah Adams Wilkinson. He was preceded by a son, Manuel Adams, Jr.; three brothers, John, Wallace and Doug Adams and a sister, Rossie Adams Adkins.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M., Monday, May 29, at the Crewe Chapel of Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 200 W. Carolina Ave., Crewe, VA 23930 and where chapel services will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice, VA.
