Kenneth was an avid CB Radio Operator since the 1970s. On the radio, he was known as Captain Jack and RC 80. He had many local operators who were part of his radio family and he was always willing to help with their radio set-ups. He also made many connections with other radio enthusiasts around the world and enjoyed nothing more than being at his desk with his radio and tools nearby. Kenneth also enjoyed visiting the Blue Ridge Mountains, enjoying and riding the Parkway. He and his dog Bandit made many memories exploring any path or trail they could find in Buckingham County, whether it be open to the public or not.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Tina Moss, Kim Ragland, and Kelly Bryant for their care and friendship to Kenneth in recent years. The “Ol’ Buzzard” loved y’all and considered you family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn with interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice. The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service.
