Thelma Rose Lewis joined our Heavenly Father and the Angels on Sunday, October 1, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, 15 brothers and sisters and both husbands; Howard Curtis Rose and Carroll Lewis.

She lived in Richmond for 40 plus years. She worked and retired from Philip Morris after 31 years. Thelma and Carroll moved to Meherrin, VA and after he passed she moved to Powhatan, VA to be closer to her son and family.

She is survived by her son Mike Rose (Angela), of Powhatan and step daughter Tammie Harvatin (Ricky) of Fayetteville, NC. deceaced step son Tony Lewis, Thelma had a grandson Michael Jr (Kelly) and granddaughter Jessica (Troy), two great grandsons Michael III and Silus. A great granddaughter Ava and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She enjoyed working in her yard, painting, bingo, country music and trips to Atlantic City, NJ. She loved her family and will be dearly missed.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Shorter Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Shorter Funeral Home with interment to follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens.
