Robert "Bobby" Howard Gentry, 85, of Farmville Virginia passed away peacefully on April 18, 2019. "Bobby" was born September 16, 1933, to Savoid and Evelyn Gentry. He retired from Philip Morris after 30 years in 1986, where he was known as a 'fixer'. Bobby will be remembered fondly by all who knew him as a gentle soul who enjoyed farming and hunting. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; Virginia Phelps Gentry, mother of his daughter; his wife of 41 years, Lauraine Gentry; brother, Donald Gentry; and sister, Mary Lou Orange. He is survived by daughters, Nancy Boyles (Randy), Debra Jennings and Jennifer Jennings; brother, Leonard Gentry; sister, Virginia Gentry; grandchildren, April Pembelton (Brian) and Chip Boyles; and 2 great-grandchildren, Landon and Mallory Pembelton. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019, at 11:00 AM in Worsham Baptist Church 6708 Farmville Road, Farmville, Virginia with interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
