Myrtle Austin Elliott, 90, of Crewe, passed away, Thursday, January 12, 2017. Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her husband Leslie R. Elliott and seven siblings. Surviving is her daughters: Virginia Rockwell of Amelia, Linda Andrews (Mike) of Chapel Hill, NC, Judy Bartlett (Skip) of Chester, Susan Burrows (John) of Roanoke, & Lesley Jo Thompson Of Columbia, SC, 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Also surviving are her sisters, Jean Brandon, Juanita Felts & Wanda Reese; brothers, Vernon Austin & James Austin.

Mrs. Elliott was retired from Crewe Garment Factory and an avid quilter and craft maker, making Raggedy  Ann & Andy dolls. She will be missed by all whose life she touched.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 17, 2017, from the Jennings-McMillian Funeral Chapel, 200 W. Carolina Ave. in Crewe, Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice. Visitation will be from 7 until 8:30 Monday evening at the funeral home.
