Mary Ruth Stinson Latham, of Cumberland County, passed away on October 24, 2024, just days after her 86th birthday. She joins her husband, Buford Max Latham Sr. and her nine brothers and sisters in their heavenly home.

Mary Ruth was very active in Tar Wallet Baptist Church and the Cumberland Clothes Closet before her health began to fail. She moved to the Richmond area and lived with grandson James (Nick) and later with daughter Pam (Lynn) who all loved her dearly and took such wonderful care of her.

Her three children, Pam Hall (Lynn), Tommy Latham (Teresa), Buford Latham (Nancy); five grandchildren, Mary Beth, Kristen, James (Nick), Michael (Laurie), Matt (Heather); three great grandchildren, Ashley, Tyler, Oliver and many extended family members find comfort knowing Granny and Pa are together again.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Trinity memorial Gardens in Rice, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to Tar Wallet Baptist Church, 150 Tar Wallet Rd, Cumberland, VA 23040.
