Larry Dean Mottley, 63, of Pamplin, Va, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at his home.  He was the husband of the late Carolyn Staton Mottley.

Born in Farmville, Va, on September 9, 1961, he was the son of the late Gladys Layne Mottley and the late Joseph Ray Mottley, Sr.  Larry loved to hunt and fish.  He loved everyone around him, and everyone loved him.

He is survived by his son, Justin Mottley and fiancée, Brittney Thompson of Pamplin and his daughter, Autumn Renee Mottley; three siblings, Joseph Ray "Joey" Mottley, Jr. and Lillian Coleman of Evergreen, Donna M. Coleman of Charlotte Court House, and Debbie M. Johnson and husband, Scotty of Prospect; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Marie Mottley.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am, on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Robinson Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Dennis Smith. Burial will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
