We sadly announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, John C. Skelly. John Conrad Skelly age 78 of Farmville, VA departed this life on Friday, July 12, 2019. He was born in NY in 1941 to the late James A. and Florence Plunkett Skelly. He was a retired NYC Fireman and a proud Marine. He was active in the Cumberland County Election Committee as well as the Farmville Jarheads. He was a jack of all trades and had many hobbies. He is survived by his wife Katherine Friscia Skelly, a son John C. Skelly Jr of Richmond, VA, a daughter Kathleen T. Skelly of Midlothian VA, a sister Florence Field of Florida, 2 grandchildren Taunnie and Sarah, and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Michael L. Skelly, a brother James Skelly and a sister Marie Gedulig. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 15, 2019, at 1:00 PM in Trinity Memorial Gardens.
