John Wesley Murphy, age 68, of Bracey, VA, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Eva Murphy; and one sister, Sandra "Sissy" Murphy.  John is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Peggy H. Murphy; three sons, James Murphy, Mike Murphy (Angela), and Wallace Corbitt (Pearl); two brothers, Michael Murphy and Fabian Murphy; two sisters, Nancy Jamerson and Joyce Ann Jones; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his mother-in-law, Mary Hardy.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at Trinity Memorial Gardens Rice, VA.
