Jean Cary Farrar, age 79, of Crewe, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

She is preceded in death by her husband,  her parents, and a sister Doris Bryant.

She is survived by her son, Clint Farrar and wife Jennifer, stepchildren Dawn Farrar (Gordi), Dusty Farrar, Melody Newland (Paul), grandchildren  Jessica and Jacob Farrar, four step grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren.

For many years Jean was a dedicated Federal government employee, serving first in the United States Attorney's Office and then as Administrative Assistant to The Honorable James R. Spencer. Her many friends at the Courthouse will miss her humor, kindness, and thoughtfulness. Jean's strength and love for her family was an example to all her friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Hamner-McMillian Funeral Home, 1400 South Main Street, Blackstone.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to funeral services.

Interment Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice VA.
