Jackie, the daughter of Phillip Sr and Eleanor Saluter was raised in Marblehead, Ma and moved to Florida when she was a teenager. Jackie was the only girl out of 6 children (Phillip Jr, Glenn, Gary, Dennis, Brett, and herself).

Jackie was survived by 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren:

Children: Daughter, Cheri (Vanderpool) Scharfenstine of Scottsmoor, FL; Son, Wilbur (Sonny) Vanderpool of Cocoa, FL and Son, Roy Vanderpool of Mims, FL.

Grandchildren: Austin (Ashley, Harper and Hank) Vanderpool of Cocoa, FL; Brittany (Torey, Carson and Wren) Ekey of Cocoa, FL; Diamond (Cody & Marshall) St. John of Scottsmoor, FL, Shelby (Tyler) Greene of Cocoa, FL and Cort Vanderpool of Cocoa, FL.

She attended Merritt Island Beauty School, where she started her career as a Master Hair Stylist for 14+ years. Then moved on to Brevard Community College where she worked in the Security department. From there she moved to Boeing (Kennedy Space Center) also in Security where she retired.

Jackie had a love for animals, any animals BUT her greatest love was for horses.

She will be remembered forever by her family and friends as a loving, truly strong independent and beautiful woman who fought a hard fight.
