Helen Biggers McLeod was born to the late Allie Biggers and Ellen Biggers on April 17th.  She departed this life on December 10th to go to her eternal home.  Helen leaves to cherish her memory five children from her first marriage: Linda Haskins, Brenda Green, Steve Williams, Dennis Williams (Cathy), and Marcus Williams.

Later, she married James Earl McLeod who preceded her in death in 2002.  Helen loved shopping and going out to eat, and riding out to see the countryside.  She worked at Hampden-Sydney College and Southside Community Hospital.  Helen was a loving and caring person and was outspoken when it came to what was right.  She will be greatly missed.   Helen grew up with seven sisters and three brothers: Bernice Biggers, Samuel Biggers (Darlene), Annie Oliver, Mary Ann Brown (Wise), and Joyce Smithson (Charlie).  Five siblings preceded her in death: Frances Williams (Kermit), Allie Biggers, Jr., Patty Boise (Kenneth), Louis Biggers (Florence), and Beatrice Jackson (Howard).

The family members of James Earl McLeod, whom Helen loved dearly, and they dearly loved her includes; son and daughter, James "Boo Boo" Montague and Pamela "Pam" Montague, Collel "June" McLeod, Jr., (Laura), Betty McLeod Branch (John), Ruby McLeod Henley, Dianna McLeod Smith (Henry Sr.), and Vivian McLeod Bowie.  In addition, she will be remembered by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
