Frank M. Short, Sr., 71, of Powhatan, was sent home by God to be with his wife Shirley August 3, 2015. He is survived by his children, Cathy Hamilton, Lisa Lafoon (Paul), Peggy Stroud (Kevin) all of Powhatan, Frankie Short, Jr. (Rachel) of Texas; two brothers, Mose Short (Hattie) of Amelia, Basel Bales (Brenda) of W. Va. ; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends tonight (Friday) from 6 to 8 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt.60), Powhatan, and where services will be held Saturday at 11 am. Interment Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice, Va. at 1 pm.
