Dessie L. Amburn, 92, of Burkeville passed away, Thursday, March 16th, 2017 at her daughter's home in Burkeville surrounded by family and friends. Dessie was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Amburn; her son-in-law Wayland Kessler; her parents; 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

Surviving are her daughter Susan A Kessler; a devoted friend, John L. Schutt, Jr.; 2 brothers-in-law numerous nieces nephews, and extended family members.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 20th, 2017 at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice, VA. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 at Jennings-McMillian Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 200 W. Carolina Ave., Crewe, VA 23930 then process to Trinity.
