Brenda Gaye McMurray Williams, 71, of Crewe, VA, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Friday, April 12, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Ruth McMurray; her daughter, Glenda Dalby; and her brothers, Woodrow, Hagan, Dewey, Garvie, and Perry.  Brenda is survived by her husband of 47 years, Charles; her four grandsons, Charles Dalby of Kenbridge, Joshua, Zachary and Aaron, all of Crewe; five sisters, Hazel Wilson of Bristol, Genevieve McMurray(Caleb) of Hilton, Peggy Hughes(Ralph) of Blountville, TN, Faye Sturgill(Robert) of Gate City, Patsy Laughlin(Darrell) of Kingsport, TN; a brother, Gale McMurray (Teresa) of Bristol, VA; special aunt, Delphia Baker of Gate City; a sister-in-law, Nancy McMurray of Hilton; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M., Tuesday, at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd., Blackstone, VA  23824.  The funeral will take place at the funeral home at 12 Noon on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, with interment to follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice, VA.
